This website has been created to promote the benefits to native woodland habitats and offer you the opportunity to purchase totally sustainable natural materials and structures for your school.

Who are 4Forest Schools?

4Forestschools is part of Malvern Coppicing, which was set up by Phil Hopkinson in 2005.

Our aim is promote the use within schools and colleges of sustainably sourced local timber at a competitive price and to give you the opportunity to support local coppicing by commissioning one of our rustic structures or purchasing our coppiced products.

We want to help Forest school leaders, teachers and helpers create unique structures that inspire young people and bring the atmosphere of wild woodland into school grounds.

Phil has been coppicing for 10 years now, having started at Ravenshill woodland reserve in 2000 working as part of the volunteer group. He is now a member of the Small Woods Association, Royal Forestry Society and Small Woodland Owners’ Group.

What are Forest schools?

Forest schools are regular experiences that inspire and develop young people and adults through spending time in a woodland environment.
